This is Queen Victoria Market, a place to get all the fresh seafood, meats, vegetables, fresh pasta, cheese and sauces etc cheaper and fresher than those sold in supermarkets. It's like our pasar pagi but obviously a better one because it's so much cleaner and has many many more stuffs. I love VicMarket because they clean up all the seafood before selling them out. Even meats are cut to perfect sizes. You can even buy them with or without bones (pay more for the latter of course).

And this is me camwhoring with his back while he's doing some stuff with the computer.

And then distracting him...

Cannot see a part of me but I decided to put this up anyway cos I think he looks kinda cute here =D
And for today's dinner, we made something super duper satisfying.

Making our satisfaction soup.

Fresh lettuce. Yes again. I bought this super big wrapped lettuce and each time I can only peel out 3 leaves and it'll be enough to feed our appetite already.

The raw ingredients. And oh do look at those tiger prawns those are the BEST prawns I've ever eaten.

Look at him, he looks like he cannot wait to just eat.

See, now acting sohai pulak.

Now more sohai.

AGAIN! SIGHHHHH why my boyfriend like that!

Ok finally a normal one.
And let me present you our super duper damn nice dinner tonight:

TOM YAM STEAMBOATTTT!!!!
I tell you, never trust instructions printed on bottled ready made pastes. I bought this tom yam paste and followed exactly like how the instructions said and the soup ended up so tasteless it didn't even taste like soup at all. Luckily I had some extra ingredients in the fridge which I brilliantly (ahem *proud) used and improvised, the taste finally improved. And when we cooked the raw seafoo ingredients, it became SUPERBBBB!
I'm serious and I really don't intend to brag but I have to because it was really too nice not to be bragged about! And it was my first time making tom yam soup ok of course I feel so damn proud!
Cooking is not just simply about following instructions. It's about improvising, trial and errors, learning from mistakes, and gaining experiences from it. It's about knowing the taste and knowing how to control it. It's about passion and how much you want it to turn out nice. It must be as much as how much you wanna eat it.
Wtf I sounded like I know damn alot about cooking -_-
But well, I must say the soup was quite nice and mainly because it was homemade. =)
And tom yam steamboat in winter? Awesome =)

With yee mee, BEST tiger prawns, balls, seafood tofu and an egg. He loved this so much he said it's orgasmic haha.
I overestimated the amount of water needed and cooked too much and now there's a pot of tom yam soup sitting in the fridge which I can see us having tom yam for the next few days. Tom Yam Fried Rice, Tom Yam noodles, Tom Yam Kung, Tom Yam soup oh goddddd.

This is him eating the lettuce and looking like a goat chewing grass hahahahaah

And this is him looking slightly constipated and having a hard time shitting hahahaah.
Ok no more pictures because the rest of it I looked like shit.
