Day 12 @ Melbourne / 25 June 2007 / Me and the boyfriend's 5th year anniversary!

HI I'M NOT DEAD!

Have been totally busy these days but while I was busy-ing, I managed to edit a few pictures and here's a small continuation on my Melbourne entries.

Yup like what the title speaks, it was our 5th year anniversary on the 25 June. Actually if anyone didn't already know, one of the main reasons I die die also must get myself to Melbourne was to be able to celebrate such an unforgetably remarkable day for us. Five years of loving. And still loving. (Btw, I love you mr. boyfriend =D)

So anywayssss, this is the morning. There wasn't much pictures in the day so I guess we went shopping. If you're wondering, yes I did a lot of shopping. DO NOT question how much I spent cos I seriously hate that question. I hate telling people how much I spend on things. You see me having it, you present me a nice compliment, I thank you, then shaddup.

Okay okay no more digression. The day.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I LURRRRVE THIS PICTURE DUNNO WHY! And HAHAHA look at that bushy eyebrow and the amount of facial hair omg thank goodness I'm a woman and my gene is on the hairless side! o.O

Have you all eaten a cream puff before?

Adelle once introduced me to cream puffs and I tried the ones at MidValley (Papa Beard or Beard Puff or Papa Puff whichever it is). It didn't taste *that* good to hook me onto it. But this,

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
VELI THE NICE! From somewhere called Puffy (I think) in QV.

And when I was back in Malaysia, because I miss the cream puff (and the times eating them with boyfriend) so much, I went and bought one from BeardPapa/PapaPuffblablabla in MidValley to cure my emptiness.

T_T not as nice...

Okay whatever. I don't care when he comes back home I'll make sure he buys back dozenSSS and dozenSSS of Krispy Kreme cos it's seriously the most orgasmic doughnuts ever baked! Yes very overrated but they are undeniably too scrumptious to be true!

T___T gosh I miss Melbourne. I miss boyfriend... T____T

Shoot. Proceed.

So in the night, we had a very interesting dinner to commemorate our love's 5th birthday. (HAHA at one point it sounded a little gross to me... ''our love's 5th birthday'' gelinyer)

While waiting for the tram...

Melbourne's Crown Casino building from the outside.

And then the tram arrived!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Guess what? We had our dinner in a tram!

The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. You can wiki and google it to find out more.

We had a 5 course meal inside the tramcar restaurant which rounds the city.

Yes. FIVE COURSE MEAL. I tell you, ate until my stomache can burst. But seriously, it was worth the experience. Dining in a tram, with romantic lights and superb food. And of course, the love of your life as your company.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
We were first served with french bread, some good red wine and champagne.

Pictures below are arranged chronogically. There are 2 dishes in some course which was because we were given 2 options for each course so we both took one for each.

appetiser:
cream, liver and cognac pâté crowned with a port wine and juniper jelly
roasted red capsicum dip served with assorted crisp bread
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Oooh the both dips damn kao nice I tell you! I've never eaten such nice dips before in my life!

entrées:
grilled kangaroo loin
brushed with lemon myrtle, thyme and honey, served on vegetable and chive frittata with bush tomato chilli jam
smoked salmon and avocado mousse dressed with baby capers, red onion and tomato. Served with frisee and dill crème friache
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Kangaroo meat tastes like beef but not as nice. It was ok only. But the bush tomato chilli jam very nice! Oooh the frittata too! So light like whipped cream made of egg only.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
OMG the smoked salmon fucking orgasmic I've never eaten such delectable salmon before. Paired with the avocado mousse (also my first time eating) wah lan eh sibeh nice!

main courses:
char grilled breast of chicken seasoned with a sun dried tomato tapenade served with a mediterranean vegetable risotto, salsa verde and shaved parmesan
prime eye fillet of beef resting on a potato and herb rosti, accompanied by seasonal vegetables, onion marmalade and rich beef jus (I dunno why it's spelled like this also)
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Whoa this dish the amount of parmesan was weely weely very generous.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Er, this one ok ok only. Not a fan of steak.

cheeses:
selection of australian cheese served with dried muscatel grapes, pear paste, fruit bread and water crackers
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I forgot the name of all the cheese but the one with lots of spots is the Australian blue cheese.

desserts:
warm sticky date pudding topped with butterscotch sauce served with cream
chocolate mousse dome served on a sponge wafer with mango coulis
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I like this.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Boyfriend prefered this. Both were equally as good actually, but we were too over-stuffed with food so we did not finish the last 2 course.

And here are the other pictures taken.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Very nice victorianish lights.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Busy wishing the father happy birthday. Yes, on that same day.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Dunno why I look so flushed. Must be the wine.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Itu boyfriend <3

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Ladies could bring home the table flower!

Yup, that's the end of it. Will continue the rest of the entries another day.

If you have been wondering whether or not I called my parents to watch the KLPAC concert? Well, yes. I did asked indirectly. Indirectly as in, I passed the message to my 7 year old sister and made her pass the message to them. And yeah, you can go figure what happened in between la.

All in all, they came for the concert. LATE. I was very disappointed not seeing them in their seats (I bought them the tickets purposely chose 2nd row just so I can see them and vice versa) and was about to throw a fit when at the end of the concert, I walked out and saw my mum, then my sister, then my dad.

Smile <---- was all I could do at that moment.

They were late for the show (tai sei one already reminded them that the jam wll take them about 2 hours to reach from home but never listened) so the managers made them sit at the top seats.

So... yaloh. Like that loh.

Semester 3

Okay it's first day of uni and all we did was go into the computer lab and waited for the Computer Music lecturer to start lecturing but all he did was gave an ass long crappy motivation lecture. We're supposed to have a class after that but that lecturer for that course wasn't around at the moment so no class. And we went to MidValley to watch Transformers (my 2nd time btw cos it's so nice i don't fucking mind watching again in fact I think I can still laugh hysterically and glue on my seats if I were to watch it for the 3rd time). After that I had to go over to KLPAC for my rehearsel. It was supposed to start at 7 but when I reached, they were rehearsing the piece which I won't be playing so we (me and friend) waited and waited and waited till 9 only get to rehearse. Fuckla tomorrow and thursday got rehearsel some more 7 to 10. Sunday already rehearse for 5 fucking hours (2-7pm) until my head was so fucking painful I had to take panadols and sleep.

Oh ya ya'll should come and watch the concert it's kinda nice I think especially the cello concerto. Gonna have a great cellist to bow her stuff out. Very recommended if you're a music student.

It's this Friday and Saturday 8.30 pm at KLPAC, Pentas 1.

Too bad, I've already given my complimentary tickets to 2 of my friends so er, to anyone I know who wants to come, you gotta buy it.

RM 20/ RM 30/ RM 40 for students depending on the seats. Otherwise, RM 30/ RM 45/ RM 60.

Okay dilemma dilemma.

I was thinking whether or not, to ask my parents to watch the concert.

I know most of you would yell, OF COURSE LA STEWPID BITCH! (ok maybe the last word is not necessary)

But but but! I have reasons not to ask!

Well the strongest reason I can think of to WHY THEY SHOULD COME is, shouldn't they know why the fuck their daughter always comes home late at night and what the fuck is she doing?

And the strongest reason I can think of WHY THEY DON'T HAVE TO COME LA is, well, I'm playing as a second violinist only (not that they know the difference if compared to the first violinists la) and I'm like sitting behind (you can consider me keh leh feh although i am not cos i really play one ok there's no way to cheat in KLPAC it's unlike UMSO) so what's the point they come and see their daughter sit behind there un-noticeable? Not that she's the co-concert master nor the first violinists nor any soloist also, right?

HOW NOW HOW NOW! SHOULD I ASK OR NOT!!!

P/s: I'm not done with my Melbourne entries yet but I don't think I'll have the time to do it soon since I have rehearsels almost everynight till the concert and uni started already. So, sorry la. Will do it when I'm... unbothered.

My brother and a flamer.

Just now, my brother received a flaming sms from an unknown number.

" dun mess with my gf or i ask someone go find u... "

Angry and confused, I taught him to reply,

" who the hell are you.. and who the hell is your girlfren Zzz who so free wanna go mess with your gf.. "

Then that fella replied,

" fuck.. u think i dunno where u stay.. better watch out.. "

At this point, my brother fumed. He went and call that flamer but nobody answered. So I taught him (again) to reply,

" are you getting the wrong number you fool? if you are so brave why don you face me why must ask someone find me. why must sms and why don you call or answer my call you coward "

Then he replied,

" fuck.. i not with my phone just now.. later com meet me.. cao ci bai.. where u goin later? wan meet? give me place and time.. "

Then at this point, my brother got even more pissed cos it was freaking obvious that  the flamer was lying when he said the phone wasn't with him cos if it wasn't, how come the sms reply were so blardy quick. So he went and call again and this time, that fella answered the phone and said,

" Har mee lan jiao "

Okay I will not translate that but it totally meant something rude.

Then my brother bombarded him with who the fuck are you's what the fuck you want's and all those things with lots of four letter words in a very angry and loud tone leaving him no chance to answer back at all.

All those cursings and shoutings when my parents were around.

Then my mum who was beside my brother, took the receiver from him and started i dunno, shouting or speaking. Cos I didn't hear.

" Who are you? Why are you disturbing my son? Who are you har! "

Then that flamer's balls shrunk to the extent of hanging up immediately after listening to my mum's voice.

Then he sent my brother another sms,

" go see your msn "

Then my brother did as directed, and.

...

...

...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

He was totally punked by his friend who just got a new number.

Day 9, 10 & 11 @ Melbourne

Harlow.

Today's entry gonna be super long and when I say long it actually means damn a lot of pictures so urm, sorry la if you have sucky internet connection or you are a nuffnang intern who has to read at least 1000 blogs a day and hates blogs with a zillion pictures like mine cos it takes ages to load and you only have like, what? 3 minutes for one blog? HAHAHAHHAHA ahem.

22 June 2007

I call this the kangaroo entry cos you're gonna see lots of kangaroos after this.

Anyway, we went for a day trip this day. Our destination was Philip Island, and we stopped by a park and see the koalas and kangaroos before the penguins crossing the shore in the island.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
On the way.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I was really tired and stewpid Jie was having so much fun secretly taking pictures of me sleeping

We stopped by the Maru Koala and Fauna Park where we took a picture with a koala (have to pay one far king hell), had our lunch, then see the animals.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
It's a marsupial too. Like the kangaroo, it carries its baby in its pouch.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I tell you this thing very the ugly lo. (Oh pardon the typo "tasmanian devil" without the s)

And then we went and feed kangaroos.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I think this kangaroo has a joey. Look, it's pouch is sagging.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

There were some koalas around too.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

More kangaroos again.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

If you've seen in Natianal Geography or Animal Planet or wtf, they'll tell you that kangaroos in the wild are actually far bigger in size and more wild. They'll punch you till you fly off the ground and their tails are so strong that they can actually stand on it. (HAHAHAH wtf actually all these informations are told by Jie don't need to watch National Geography or Animal Planet also just need a smart boyfriend HAHAHAHA)

Oh anyways, the kangaroos. Yeah, the ones we fed are the tame and the smaller ones. But. They gone wild! I was attacked no joke.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
They were hunting for that tub of kangaroo food I was holding.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Then we saw a kangaroo with a joey!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Now you see it,

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Now you don't!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Saw some pretty daisies.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Oh one video with the kangaroos:

After that the journey to the island continued and we stopped by some beach near the shore we're gonna see the penguins parade. And was told that surfers likes going there to surf cos the waves are well... big. And I mean really gigantic waves.

But it was winter, right? BUT THERE WERE STILL SURFERS IN THE SEA!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
See that 2 black thing?? OMG I was already freezing even under my jacket and 2 layers of tops, and they are swimming in the ice cold water! In just spandex!

Here's a video of one of the surfers:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Unfortunately there was not a single seal to be spotted. Wrong timing.

And that's the end of our Philip Island tour.

Where are the penguins, you may ask. Yes. We really did went to the shore, sat on the sand, almost froze to death cos sea breeze are really a killer, watched the penguins parade onto the shore and crossed up to the land, went into their burrows, made love to their partners (i think i even saw one trying to rape another penguin geez what a sight) and casted lots of funny moans and groans.

Yes ALL THAT but not a single picture or video.

Why?

Cos we were not allowed to take pictures of the penguins. They said the flash of the camera will damage the penguins eyes and they may become blind. Jie tried to take pictures and videos secretly but the results were crap cos it was so dark, the pictures and video were pitch black except for the videos having the sounds of the penguins mating la.

Sien.

So after going back, guess what?

It's CHOCOLATE time! Went to Max Brenner's.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Haha this is a special one I've never tried before. We ordered a white chocolate one, which wasn't really nice cos it was too sweet. I think dark chocolate would a great one. And the milk wasn't really necessary for me cos urm, I hate milk and I prefer drinking chocolate.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The chocolate pieces are melted with milk in that tub, heated by the candle underneath, just like those aromatherapy candle burner.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
And then you stir them with this metal spoon-cum-straw, and to drink, simply just suck like how you suck your coke in McDs.

23 June 2007

I think we went shopping again cos not much pictures in the folder.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
What an intelligent way to name a shop selling bed shits. I mean bed sheets.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Melbourne is a a very arty farty state, that're why there's lots of galleries around. And funny sculptures.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I like their concept of shops in the city. Each one has a different design.

Oh I made dinner! Chicken Parmagiana! Yes it was my first time making it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

24 June 2007

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Check out that hairband. Damn cool right!

Camwhore camwhore camwhore!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
HAHAHAHH Jie was saying why his lips so red in that picture that's why this picture he purposely hid it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
*yum

Oh ya one of my bestfriends Maggie who's studying in Tasmania arrived on this day. So we met up and hung out.

Lunch at Es Teler, an Indonesian restaurant.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The BM sounds funny.

Some funny foods they serve to name a few,

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Backside soup??? Or Buttock soup??? I didn't know oxtail is also known as buttocks.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
OMG as much as I love eating bananas, I didn't know it can be made into juice! Btw, it was like... banana shake. Too sweet.

Then we went shopping. And I went into FCUK and saw something really nice and I really like and bought. Ok yess yess Jie bought.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I love the back part.

Shopp shopp shopp till night, we were so tired we sat down on a er... purse.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I wasn't joking~

Then we went to Ten Ren to have some 'Zhen Zhu Nai Cha', milk tea with pearls.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
You shoot me, I shoot you.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The Pearl. HAHAHAHAHAHAH reminds me of Form 5 literature.

No it's not over and then and then we went to Chinatown to get some egg tarts Maggie said nice.

Then went back to Lygon to have our pizza dinner.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Waiting for tram.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Quite nice.

There was another Meat Lovers Pizza which was from another pizza outlet called Intersection. They have mutton in the pizza which added something special to it. And it has more barbecue sauce in it so overall, I find intersection's pizzas nicer.

We went back home together supposingly waiting for Joshua's call to tell us the meet up place but in the end it was too late and everyone was dead tired to go out so no more further plans after that.

Done.

Day 7 & 8 @ Melbourne

20 June 2007

Early morning breakfast:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket =)

The program of the day was to visit Melbourne Zoo. Saw some pretty graffiti on the way. For your information, there are lots of really cool graffiti and they are all done by paid artists, which means they are paid to spray the walls. Unlike some lame wannabes you see in Malaysia, spraying uninvitedly and illegally. And anyway, it's considered vendalism in Malaysia. Why oh why this country has no sense of art at all.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

In Melbourne Zoo:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Oh there's even pictures of animals. Lots and lots of 'em. I resized them into thumbnails cos I don't want my blog to be filled with so many big pictures of animals -_-'' wouldn't it look odd? Like, Choi Ee Von the vain pot and food lover posting pictures of animals in her blog instead of more tempting food and herself?

But you can view the full size by clicking on it. Please do cos actually I think they're quite interesting. Especially the reptiles. And oh the penguins so fucking cute!

Reminder: CLICK TO ENLARGE

Check out the koala too. So lazy.

And some lovey dovey pictures of us.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And your vain blogger.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Oh there were lots of little kids in the zoo and it was drizzling quite heavily. (Yes Melbourne never gets enough of rain. Just drizzle. And heavy drizzle that's it. Not rain.) Then the kids were wearing raincoat and they looked so fucking adorable!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
You'll never find such cute scene in Malaysia.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
On the way back.

Dinner was Greek food that day. We went to this place called Stalactite. Yes from it's name you can already guess that the setting of the restaurant was made to resemble a cave, full of icicle-like stones on it's ceiling.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
But Jie thought it looks more like durian skin.

We had a grilled meat platter which the mutton was really grilled to perfection,

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
See that white thing in the salad? It's Feta cheese, a type of Greek cheese. Goes really well with the salad. Comes with a beef patty which wasn't nice, a souvlaki (meat grilled on a skewer) and grilled lamb which was utter yummy.

and a traditional Greek recipe,

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Gyro. Roasted meat served with sauce and garnishes (tomato, onions, vege) on pita bread.

We also had wine. Forgot what's the name of it but it was quite a good wine.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Jie was saying that he finally found the way to make me happy and high whenever I have no mood for anything and I pout and gives him the salted fish face. (Meaning a black face) Alcohol. Cos within minutes after I took a few sips of the wine, I was laughing hysterically at practically nothing.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

He wanted to take a picture of me but I knew drunk women aren't pretty women so, yeah. I am pretty fugly when I'm high on alco. Every part of me which is in flesh colour will turn red. Oh even my eyes.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Everyone this is my boyfriend Low Wei Kiat a.k.a Jie whom I love very much kthxbye.

21 June 2007

There're not many pictures in the folder, I guess we went shopping on this day cos I saw this,

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Something I bought on that day. Something I love to bits. Can you guess?

I'll do a whole entry on what I bought next time.

We had chinese food for dinner.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Curry chicken noodle. Very nice!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
BBQ and roasted pork rice. Not nice. =(

Done.
