Today's entry gonna be super long and when I say long it actually means damn a lot of pictures so urm, sorry la if you have sucky internet connection or you are a nuffnang intern who has to read at least 1000 blogs a day and hates blogs with a zillion pictures like mine cos it takes ages to load and you only have like, what? 3 minutes for one blog? HAHAHAHHAHA ahem.

I call this the kangaroo entry cos you're gonna see lots of kangaroos after this.
Anyway, we went for a day trip this day. Our destination was Philip Island, and we stopped by a park and see the koalas and kangaroos before the penguins crossing the shore in the island.

We stopped by the Maru Koala and Fauna Park where we took a picture with a koala (have to pay one far king hell), had our lunch, then see the animals.
It's a marsupial too. Like the kangaroo, it carries its baby in its pouch.
I tell you this thing very the ugly lo. (Oh pardon the typo "tasmanian devil" without the s)
And then we went and feed kangaroos.
I think this kangaroo has a joey. Look, it's pouch is sagging.
There were some koalas around too.
More kangaroos again.
If you've seen in Natianal Geography or Animal Planet or wtf, they'll tell you that kangaroos in the wild are actually far bigger in size and more wild. They'll punch you till you fly off the ground and their tails are so strong that they can actually stand on it. (HAHAHAH wtf actually all these informations are told by Jie don't need to watch National Geography or Animal Planet also just need a smart boyfriend HAHAHAHA)
Oh anyways, the kangaroos. Yeah, the ones we fed are the tame and the smaller ones. But. They gone wild! I was attacked no joke.
They were hunting for that tub of kangaroo food I was holding.

After that the journey to the island continued and we stopped by some beach near the shore we're gonna see the penguins parade. And was told that surfers likes going there to surf cos the waves are well... big. And I mean really gigantic waves.
But it was winter, right? BUT THERE WERE STILL SURFERS IN THE SEA!
See that 2 black thing?? OMG I was already freezing even under my jacket and 2 layers of tops, and they are swimming in the ice cold water! In just spandex!

Unfortunately there was not a single seal to be spotted. Wrong timing.
And that's the end of our Philip Island tour.
Where are the penguins, you may ask. Yes. We really did went to the shore, sat on the sand, almost froze to death cos sea breeze are really a killer, watched the penguins parade onto the shore and crossed up to the land, went into their burrows, made love to their partners (i think i even saw one trying to rape another penguin geez what a sight) and casted lots of funny moans and groans.
Yes ALL THAT but not a single picture or video.
Why?
Cos we were not allowed to take pictures of the penguins. They said the flash of the camera will damage the penguins eyes and they may become blind. Jie tried to take pictures and videos secretly but the results were crap cos it was so dark, the pictures and video were pitch black except for the videos having the sounds of the penguins mating la.
Sien.
So after going back, guess what?
It's CHOCOLATE time! Went to Max Brenner's.
Haha this is a special one I've never tried before. We ordered a white chocolate one, which wasn't really nice cos it was too sweet. I think dark chocolate would a great one. And the milk wasn't really necessary for me cos urm, I hate milk and I prefer drinking chocolate.
The chocolate pieces are melted with milk in that tub, heated by the candle underneath, just like those aromatherapy candle burner.
And then you stir them with this metal spoon-cum-straw, and to drink, simply just suck like how you suck your coke in McDs.

Melbourne is a a very arty farty state, that're why there's lots of galleries around. And funny sculptures.
I like their concept of shops in the city. Each one has a different design.

Oh ya one of my bestfriends Maggie who's studying in Tasmania arrived on this day. So we met up and hung out.
Lunch at Es Teler, an Indonesian restaurant.

OMG as much as I love eating bananas, I didn't know it can be made into juice! Btw, it was like... banana shake. Too sweet.
Then we went shopping. And I went into FCUK and saw something really nice and I really like and bought. Ok yess yess Jie bought.

Shopp shopp shopp till night, we were so tired we sat down on a er... purse.

Then we went to Ten Ren to have some 'Zhen Zhu Nai Cha', milk tea with pearls.

No it's not over and then and then we went to Chinatown to get some egg tarts Maggie said nice.
Then went back to Lygon to have our pizza dinner.

There was another Meat Lovers Pizza which was from another pizza outlet called Intersection. They have mutton in the pizza which added something special to it. And it has more barbecue sauce in it so overall, I find intersection's pizzas nicer.
We went back home together supposingly waiting for Joshua's call to tell us the meet up place but in the end it was too late and everyone was dead tired to go out so no more further plans after that.
The program of the day was to visit Melbourne Zoo. Saw some pretty graffiti on the way. For your information, there are lots of really cool graffiti and they are all done by paid artists, which means they are paid to spray the walls. Unlike some lame wannabes you see in Malaysia, spraying uninvitedly and illegally. And anyway, it's considered vendalism in Malaysia. Why oh why this country has no sense of art at all.
In Melbourne Zoo:
Oh there's even pictures of animals. Lots and lots of 'em. I resized them into thumbnails cos I don't want my blog to be filled with so many big pictures of animals -_-'' wouldn't it look odd? Like, Choi Ee Von the vain pot and food lover posting pictures of animals in her blog instead of more tempting food and herself?

Oh there were lots of little kids in the zoo and it was drizzling quite heavily. (Yes Melbourne never gets enough of rain. Just drizzle. And heavy drizzle that's it. Not rain.) Then the kids were wearing raincoat and they looked so fucking adorable!
You'll never find such cute scene in Malaysia.

Dinner was Greek food that day. We went to this place called Stalactite. Yes from it's name you can already guess that the setting of the restaurant was made to resemble a cave, full of icicle-like stones on it's ceiling.
But Jie thought it looks more like durian skin.
We had a grilled meat platter which the mutton was really grilled to perfection,
See that white thing in the salad? It's Feta cheese, a type of Greek cheese. Goes really well with the salad. Comes with a beef patty which wasn't nice, a souvlaki (meat grilled on a skewer) and grilled lamb which was utter yummy.
and a traditional Greek recipe,
Gyro. Roasted meat served with sauce and garnishes (tomato, onions, vege) on pita bread.
We also had wine. Forgot what's the name of it but it was quite a good wine.
Jie was saying that he finally found the way to make me happy and high whenever I have no mood for anything and I pout and gives him the salted fish face. (Meaning a black face) Alcohol. Cos within minutes after I took a few sips of the wine, I was laughing hysterically at practically nothing.
He wanted to take a picture of me but I knew drunk women aren't pretty women so, yeah. I am pretty fugly when I'm high on alco. Every part of me which is in flesh colour will turn red. Oh even my eyes.

After mourning for so long, here's the entry on Melbourne. But 3 days only cos seriously damn a lot of pictures. Imagine, there's a total of 3GB of pictures for that 2 weeks I was there. So I'll have to do it little by little.
Oh I was mourning for the loss of my beloved winter jacket which Jie bought me. Will talk about it later. Also, for having to leave Melbourne/boyfriend and come back to work my lonely ass off.

Woke up that morning and had breakfast when I grabbed a strawberry from the fridge and to my surprise, it was a Siamese Strawberry.
Hahahahahh yala siamese as in siamese twins la, don't tell me you thought the strawberries were from Thailand or something.
And then later we prepared ourself for the agenda of the day which was shopping (I think... can't remember).

The carriage is cool but way too expensive. $50 for a ride rounding the city. With smelly horses some more.
On Swanston Street.
We went into French Connection and saw something really cute.
Cute right!! It was $30. ($ 30 X 2.99 = RM 90) We actually thought it was kinda overpriced but knowing FCUK, it'll be no difference if it was in Ringgit. Malaysia might not even have it, so I bought it. Ok fine, Jie bought.
Then yesterday when I was at Midvalley, I went into FCUK and hopped out happily cos you know why? It's more expensive in Ringgit HAHAHAHAHHAAH by RM 30 HAHAHHAHHA.
But the one I saw wasn't exactly the same quote, it was "too busy to fcuk" but it was the same price I'm sure cos I saw that in Melbourne and they were under the same rack.
Jie was kinda unsatisfied cos I managed to find myself a good top so easily so he asked if there's a guy version of it. As in the same top with the same quote but cutting for a guy la. And yeap they have it, so we both bought HAHAHAHAHAH. Are we cute or what!
Then we went out in the night to have dinner. While waiting for the tram to arrive, we camwhored.

We went to Lygon Street, which is also called the Italian Street cos the whole street is mainly jammed with Italian restaurants and cafes. Kyle recommended me Chicken Parmagiana at Universal Pizza,
Not bad. It's a piece of breadcrumb coated deepfried chicken fillet, topped with parmagiana sauce (which is very similar to pasta sauce) and mozarella cheese.
I dunno what I was laughing at.
After dinner, we decided to have the scrumptious durian gelati. At 5 degrees in the night. You know how was it? I tell you, it felt as if I was walking inside a freezer!
Can't you see? I'm enjoying the cold obviously.
But really, it is the BEST durian ice cream ever.

Taken in the morning. See that funny oversized thing I'm wearing? It's not mine ok I don wear pyjamas to sleep one in fact I don't wear anything haha ok ahem it was actually Jie's Timberland shirt. I had to wear his clothes cos I forgot to pack some sleeping clothes over damn stupid right me? No it wasn't intentional one ok (or maybe it was unconsciously... )
There's not much pictures in the folder so I think we didn't go anywhere or did anything interesting on this day. But we went and eat Japanese fusion food in the night.
Taken outside Sam's apartment. Oh check out his hair in this picture it's the last you'll see cos he went for a haircut shortly after this.
Then we went to this restaurant in QV (abbreviation for Queen Victoria, which is the name of a commercial building) since after leaving some stuffs in Sam's apartment. It's called Wagamama. I know, the name sounds pretty stupid right? How Keat even joked,
" Eh Wei Kiat, next time u open another restaurant next to this Wagamama. Then you call it WAGAPAPA lah HAHAHAHAHAH! "
Walao I laughed till my stomach turned.
So anyway, they serve fusion Japanese food. I had this thing called lumen or lomen or whatever fuck I can't remember, it was in seafood curry soup.
Quite nice.
Remember I mentioned he went for a haircut? Yeap. The $ 25 ($ 25 X 2.99 = RM 75) and also possibly the lowest priced haircut anyone can get in Melbourne.
I don't know why I fell in love with this stewpid poser =D
Then I was telling him the chair's kinda high my feet couldn't touch the floor. He explained that it's because the chairs are designed to cater the Australians who are mostly taller that's why Asians like us will find the chairs high.
I'm not short ok, it's the chair that was too high and the Australians being too tall.

Went to Victoria Maket to do some meat and vege shopping. Something like our usual pasar pagi except that this market is much cleaner (I like) and not as smelly (I like also).
Looks damn torturing right? No, actually it was very very nice. Can throw away McD's or Burger King's. And no I couldn't finish the whole thing ok u think I wat, pacman ah?
Kyle cooked dinner that night. Later we went to Brunetti's to have some real chocolate drink.
Italian Hot Chocolate. Walao it's so thick it's almost like drinking melted chocolate! And I concluded it's the most heavenly hot chocolate ever.

Kyle was saying that there's this sugar container on the table which will only pour out 1 tablespoon of sugar but nobody believed him. After a few failed attempts to prove himself right, finally the container really poured out a certain amount of sugar only when it's poured in a very fast motion, till there's no sugar coming out.
So everyone wanted to try out the fun of pouring that 1 tablespoon of sugar which also means, we were practically pouring out sugar for fun and wasting them. Then they started stirring their leftovers with excessive sugar when the daring game came about.
How Keat and Kyle were daring each other to drink the mixtures.
It's 2.33 a.m. now and I'm so fucking goddamn tired but I have to do this cos this is like the most important thing ever. Jie's sleeping like a pig behind me on his bed while I have to slap myself to stay awake and make sure I finish this before I doze off.

Wonder why I'm too busy to update when actually I should be enjoying myself in the cool breeze?
Cos when travelling and exploring the city, everything is done by foot. No such priviledge as driving around or such money to pay money-sucking cabs. And imagine, temperature is within 1-10 degrees. I know, it's crazy. Even on the sunniest days, the wind is practically a killer. It either has enough strength to blow you away, or icy enough to freeze you to death (literally), or worst, both.
And because most shopping places close at 5, there's nothing much to be done after that unless you're shopping for groceries which also, if you're buying tonnes of stuffs, you gotta carry it back, by foot. No wheels to roll you back, remember? Think of carrying back a sack of rice to survive for 2 months.
Besides doing groceries, the only places you can still loiter around are eating places. So you either eat out, or DIY a.k.a cook your own meal, which is most likely cos the least cost for a decent meal would be say... 7 dollar? The rate is around 2.7 - 2.9 these days so if you don't mind, please do the math yourself thank you veli much.
So, after dinner, there should be a chill out session although it's already chill-y enough looking at the temperature this winter. Then the rest would be either planning ahead for the next day, or doing some laundry every few days, and some hanky panky sessions before we knock off till the next morning where again we played some musical beds and snoozing off again before really waking up for the day's agenda, which will always end up to be noon already.
Just now we even changed the bedsheet, pillow cover and the quilt cover (not easy ok it's queen size fucking big). And did some laundry (heh I didn't do also cos Jie washed them for me he's such a darling wtf cos yesterday i did for him mah) while I was busy blogging and chatting hahahah.
So you see la i where got time to blog? Some more I pick nice pictures la resize them la upload at bitchy photobucket la blablabla, aiyoyo seriously no time la.
Tomorrow I have to wake up early to wash my hair (cos it's unwashed for 3 days already temperature so cold sometimes I don't bath also wtf but Jie doesn't mind cos he'll never minds he's such a darling remember?) and dry them before we go to the zoo. Hahahah wtf go zoo also has to pan leng as if I'll flirt with the animals! And visit Melbourne University's Conservatorium of Music!!!
