080622_Melbourne Day 21

Before going out,

Obviously posing.

We went to Chapel Street. A shopping street almost like Bridge Road but most stuffs are at the higher end than Bridge Road and some shops are far more elaborated, bigger and having more stocks and designs; so, more sale items available. =D

This picture do no justice. I couldn't find a perfect angle to capture how long the whole stretch of shops are.

And after getting home,

Camwhoring with my favourite red wall, right in front of the elevator.

Hahahaha he took a few shots but his hands are as usual, shaky. I was urging him to finish up fast because I don't want anyone to see us sohai camwhoring in the apartment when they get out from the elevator.

Our dinner,

Leftover tom yam cooked with leftover seafood, yee mee and eggs.

Today's shopping bags.

Ok now here comes what I bought. Ok er, we bought.

Sportsgirl knitted scarf which I loveeeeeee so much because just look at how lovely the colour combination is. And it's so thick and soft and comfortable!

I love the knit patterns too.

Sportsgirl long ribbed socks. For fun lah cos it was quite cheap.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAH GUESS WHO'S BEING SAMPAT HERE!

Supre Winter Coat which was oh-so-everywhere now. It's even more frequent than that Country Road bag. So, I gave up and followed the trend.

The coat looks more like a bathrobe to me when the sash is tied to the front. I prefer it tied to the back. And no I wasn't posing, I was looking at my reflection on the window.

Another thing I love! He loves it too, he's the one who immediately said "I buy this for you" once he saw me in it. Supre Long top with 2 front pockets. I think I have a thing for long tops and pockets now.

Hahahahahaah I look so stupid here.

Another closer picture of it. He loves the big button and the fact that it's long sleeved. I love the pockets and the fact that it's a long top.

The best part is it has a hood! I love tops with hoods. It gives a kinda laid-back and casual but not too underdressed kinda look. And it comes in handy when it's drizzling some more.

That's all for myself today.

=)

=)

And I bought him something which I decided to give him as his early birthday present. I won't be around for his birthday which is on September, so decided to get his present now. He's always been telling me that he wanted another jacket which he can wear to work cos he only has ONE presentable jacket. All the others are urm... how do I say? Colours are kinda old-fashioned? Too casual? Cannot withstand the cold?

So today we saw this and it was love at first sight for the both of us and I immediately decided that he deserved it.

Country Road's sweater.

I've been browsing through sweaters in lots of shops but couldn't find the perfect one. I initially wanted to surprise him but because sizes are very hard to predict and clothes are things which you should really try before knowing whether it looks good on you or not, so I didn't buy any until today. And all the sweaters I've seen are either too thin or too ugly. This sweater is knitted and it's super thick so it works really well. And besides the colour's perfect and there's no fancy and annoying detail on it.

Layered with his one and only, trusty FCUK jacket.

The back of it. Clean and simple is what we both like in common.

And today he decided to treat himself something,

He said his leg hair ruined the picture so I had to take another one. But I'll post up anyway to show people how his leg hair looks like hahahhaha.

A pair of new and handsome Puma shoes.

He was telling me not to take pictures of him full body cos he thought he look funny with the overall combination. After seeing this picture he went, " Eh actually this shoe looks quite ok with short pants one hor " -_-

He said it feels like I'm hugging him whenever he wears it. =)

Ok the end. Here are some sampat pictures of me.

Bored ninja.

Ninja standby.

Rude ninja.

Turtlenecks are quite fun sometimes. Bye.

080621_Melbourne Day 20

This is Queen Victoria Market, a place to get all the fresh seafood, meats, vegetables, fresh pasta, cheese and sauces etc cheaper and fresher than those sold in supermarkets. It's like our pasar pagi but obviously a better one because it's so much cleaner and has many many more stuffs. I love VicMarket because they clean up all the seafood before selling them out. Even meats are cut to perfect sizes. You can even buy them with or without bones (pay more for the latter of course).

And this is me camwhoring with his back while he's doing some stuff with the computer.

And then distracting him...

Cannot see a part of me but I decided to put this up anyway cos I think he looks kinda cute here =D

And for today's dinner, we made something super duper satisfying.

Making our satisfaction soup.

Fresh lettuce. Yes again. I bought this super big wrapped lettuce and each time I can only peel out 3 leaves and it'll be enough to feed our appetite already.

The raw ingredients. And oh do look at those tiger prawns those are the BEST prawns I've ever eaten.

Look at him, he looks like he cannot wait to just eat.

See, now acting sohai pulak.

Now more sohai.

AGAIN! SIGHHHHH why my boyfriend like that!

Ok finally a normal one.

And let me present you our super duper damn nice dinner tonight:

TOM YAM STEAMBOATTTT!!!!

I tell you, never trust instructions printed on bottled ready made pastes. I bought this tom yam paste and followed exactly like how the instructions said and the soup ended up so tasteless it didn't even taste like soup at all. Luckily I had some extra ingredients in the fridge which I brilliantly (ahem *proud) used and improvised, the taste finally improved. And when we cooked the raw seafoo ingredients, it became SUPERBBBB!

I'm serious and I really don't intend to brag but I have to because it was really too nice not to be bragged about! And it was my first time making tom yam soup ok of course I feel so damn proud!

Cooking is not just simply about following instructions. It's about improvising, trial and errors, learning from mistakes, and gaining experiences from it. It's about knowing the taste and knowing how to control it. It's about passion and how much you want it to turn out nice. It must be as much as how much you wanna eat it.

Wtf I sounded like I know damn alot about cooking -_-

But well, I must say the soup was quite nice and mainly because it was homemade. =)

And tom yam steamboat in winter? Awesome =)

With yee mee, BEST tiger prawns, balls, seafood tofu and an egg. He loved this so much he said it's orgasmic haha.

I overestimated the amount of water needed and cooked too much and now there's a pot of tom yam soup sitting in the fridge which I can see us having tom yam for the next few days. Tom Yam Fried Rice, Tom Yam noodles, Tom Yam Kung, Tom Yam soup oh goddddd.

This is him eating the lettuce and looking like a goat chewing grass hahahahaah

And this is him looking slightly constipated and having a hard time shitting hahahaah.

Ok no more pictures because the rest of it I looked like shit.

Like this:

'Nuff said. Shaddup.

And right now I'm ending this post while sipping my glass of Bailey's with milk. Ummmm...

080620_Melbourne Day 19

Actually it's the 21st of June today but I just wanna make my calender look nicer so posted this on a day behind.

Nothing special happened anyway yesterday. Well that's because I did absolutely nothing at home while Wk's working. Yes, NOTHING. I am so amazing I know, thanks.

We're having steamboat later yum yummmmmm so pictures later. Wanna go prepare and practice my violin now. God it's getting colder and colder my fingers are so cold like it's frozen I don't know if I can still hold my bow properly.

Wait, did I just gave myself an excuse to not practice violin?

...

Bye.

080619_Melbourne Day 18

Didn't do much today.

Yesterday was a long day and I was so tired I came home after movie and slept right away. Roaming the city in my boots which was unfortunately not a pair of boots with flat bottom for 4 freaking hours was definitely not very brilliant. The soles of my feet then and now hurt like bitch and I only brought 2 pairs of shoes when I came: sneakers and boots (which already killed my feet) so for the next few days I'll have to wear jeans and sneakers and nothing fancy =(

I am currently in serious consideration of getting a new pair of boots (with flat bottom oh please) and flats because my boots' colour is seriously a pain in the ass when it comes to matching my clothes, and I simply need something much simpler than boots takkan everyday also wear until so kua cheong right boots boots boots wtf. BUT! They are all so overpriced I'm not sure if it's even worth the money T___T what should I do!

And why is this happening to me! Right after having a few more pieces of jackets in the closet which is way better than last year I had only ONE jacket and if you notice it can be seen in almost ALL the Melbourne pictures taken last year, I saw this piece of white knitted coat from Roxy which is SOOOOO cute ok! The best part is it's on half price now and it's only like AUD 50! Haih howwwwwww. When got not enough jackets, then wanna buy. When got enough jackets, ALSO WANNA BUY aiyorrrr.

Ok anyway today we bought Krispy Kreme again!

Yum yummmmmm

We had lunch at Hungry Jack's (equivalent to Burger King) today and they don't have Mushroom Swiss, Chicken Royale, Swiss Chicken nor Black Pepper Whopper =( =( =( Ended up eating some sucky chicken burger which was not even sandwiched with a sesame seed bun or ok, a normal burger bun. They used a baguette omfg. I was speechless. And as espected, no sauces detected. Didn't even bother asking them see see need to pay again haih. I think next time I should bring my own bottle of chilli sauce -_-

And today's dinner:

Carbonara Giant Spirali.

Fresh lettuce salad.

Ok so freakin cold now I shall go roll up with Wk who's fast asleep now and warm enough to make me warm =)

080618_Melbourne Day 17

Bought a few stuffs,

Clock wise from top left: Pink file/magazine holder, label stickers, exercise books, black pencil case, blue metal case and writing set which was free.

And they're all from Smiggle! I love Smiggle <3 <3 <3

Pencil cases are for my brother. I didn't know which one he'd prefer so I got both.

And the writing set is actually a set of papers with pink polka dots which are so pretty, a semitransparent red plastic envelope and "to and from" label stickers. And it was free cos I spent more than 15 dollars there.

The label stickers which are soooooooo cute I couldn't resist buying it. I especially love the polka dots one.

And then I went to a hair stuffs shop and these caught my eye:

And it was only AUD 50 aka RM 150 DO YOU KNOW HOW CHEAP IS THAT?!!! I TELL YOU HOW!

I walked around the shop to look for smaller bottles of that same shampoo and conditioner. And I saw, altogether around AUD 50 for 400ml of each! And that one in the above picture is 750 ml each for AUD 50 ok! And do you know how long that freakin big bottle of conditioner is going to last me! *flies to heaven

If that's not enough, last time I freakin bought that 150ml of conditioner (which lasted for 2-3 months) for like RM 50++ so if I'm getting a 750ml supposingly it's RM 150 ++???

But now for RM 150 I get BOTH shampoo and conditioner jumbo sized I tell you it was such a steal I wish I can afford to buy 2 sets of it. It's not the money. It's the weight T____T it'll be too heavy for me to carry back T____T

If you smell that thing I tell you you can die happily because the scent is sooooooooooooo nice you know.

And then I also conveniently got these:

Random colour elastic bands.

I like it because it's double the length of normal elastic bands and there's no metal joint used so it won't damage hair.

Wah I just checked the tag and found out the brand actually has a website of it so cool one. www.scunci.com.au

Oh and then I got so pissed off with some bitch who works in the duty free shop in Bourke St. I seriously don't understand what's the logic in serving those angmohs better than us Asians when they (the one who serves) ARE Asians themselves!

Just because I don't have natural blonde or brown hair, just because I don't have blue or green eyes, just because I don't speak English with an accent (considering Asian accent is NOT an accent to them), just because I don't carry or dress in designer's bags or clothes nor have a fat purse with lots of cash nor carry a credit card, IT DOES NOT FUCKING MEAN I'M NOT A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER RIGHT?

Stupid cibai bitch didn't wanna bother me much when I asked her about the Lancome mascaras and just brushed me off by simply answering a word or two which didn't actually answer my question also! JIER I WANNA KILL HER *stab stab stab stab stab stab

If I am a boss and I have this kinda employee I will definitely sack her if I read about a complaint about my shop's employees like her.

Ok end of childish rant.

Then we watched,

I can never really understand M. Night Shyamalan's shows. Except for The Sixth Sense of course.

This one's a little bit disturbing to me. I came home still having images of a few disturbing scenes from the movie flickering in my mind.

There is this scene where people are committing suicide by jumping off the building. If it's a murder it will not be as disturbing as watching these people just walk into the air from the rooftop and crash onto the ground with a very loud smash like a big car falling down from 10 storeys above.

It was so spooky I was shivering as I watched it in the cinema which was heated can you imagine that? If I watch it in M'sia's cinema which is well-known to be super cold, I think I might need to put on a winter jacket haahah.
